About this toolkit

A recycled-content claim is only as strong as the lot records behind it.

This toolkit sets the lot and counting boundary, captures movements and transfers, reconciles stock and investigates differences, checks certificate and shipment evidence, reviews buyer wording and reserves quantity against claims, and calculates physical blend scenarios. It tracks physical quantities and evidence; it is not a mass-balance accounting system. It is a practitioner explainer: it does not certify material and is not issued by any certification scheme.

What's inside

  • Guide (PDF, 11 pages): lot boundary, movements, stock reconciliation, certificate evidence, buyer wording, blends.
  • Excel toolkit: blank working copy with sheets for Dashboard, Lots, Movements, Transfers, Evidence, Claims, Blends. Fixed review date, drop-downs and a native-chart dashboard. No macros.
  • Worked example (Excel): the same workbook filled with fictional records, so you can see every queue and chart in use.
  • Worked case (PDF): a two-page case that walks through the example and has you reconcile the dashboard.
  • 7 editable Word forms: Lot and purchase order intake; movement and transfer verification; physical count and reconciliation; scope and shipment evidence review; physical blend and loss basis; buyer statement and approval packet; traceability exception and corrective action.
  • Data setup and migration guide (PDF), 6 blank and fictional CSV layouts and a field dictionary for importing your own records.
  • Glossary and verification record (PDF): every external source with the edition checked and its status, plus recomputed worked calculations.

FAQ

Which software do I need?

Desktop Microsoft Excel for the workbooks (tested in Microsoft 365 on Windows; no macros), a PDF reader and Word or a compatible editor for the forms. Other spreadsheet programs may not support every formula, chart or drop-down.

Can my whole team use it?

Yes. One purchase covers one organisation, all its sites and staff, with no expiry. You can edit the files and share your completed records, but not resell or redistribute the blank toolkit. Full terms are on the licence page.

Is the worked example real company data?

No. The worked example and worked case use a fictional manufacturer and fictional data so you can see every queue and chart in use. Do not copy their figures into your own records.
